The
paperband filter consists of a paperbin, a waste bin for the used paper, a tank
for filtered liquid and (optional) a pump.
The liquid flows from the top through a dispenser and falls directly on the
filter paper bed. It flows through the filter paper by gravity, leaving the
contamination on the filter medium.
When this gets clogged, the liquid level will raise and activates a float switch.
This gives a signal to the electric motor, which causes the endless belt to
move forward. The contaminated filterpaper is discharged into the waste bin.
New filterpaper is brought on and lets through more liquid, and the level goes
down again. The paperband filter thus provides a fully automatic and continuous
filtration.
