TME cryogenic tunnel

TME cryogenic tunnel

  Principle of operation
Products are cooled in the atmosphere of a refrigerating medium when they are transported on a belt conveyor. A refrigerant - liquid nitrogen or carbon dioxide is counter-current fed to the system. Speed of this type of freezing process causes only a very small loss of humidity and weight of products, while peserving their taste, aroma and flavour. Such freezing does not damage cells, reduces the process of ice cristals formation, and it breakes the growth of micro organisms.
This technology is better, faster, and more efficient than the technologies of conventional freezing. The tunnel has a fixed upper part with a belt conveyor.
The lower part is mobile thanks to air cushions which makes the cleaning of tunnel easier.
