STZ sewage receiving unit

The Sewerage Receiving Station is designed to collect the sewerage and also to control and register the results. They enable the deliverers identification and the control of received sewerage parameters like : pH, salinity, temperature. The unit is equipped with termal printer for printing the delivery reports; the unit mates with a bar code card reader, which eliminates the use of keyboard for inserting the supplier's registration data and also assures a service free sewerage acceptance.

Description and operating principle

The Unit measures and controls the parameters and the amount of the delivered sewage, protecting it from exceeding the determined values (according to accepted norms).

The sewage acceptance begins with connecting the hose from the waste removal car to the sewerage acceptance unit by means of a special connector (2). When the pneumatic valve is open (3) (WUKO gate) the sewerage flows through the flow meter sensor (5) measuring module (6), where the reaction pH reading, salinity K, temperature T and the amount of sewerage take place.

The contact with the sewage takes place in an open-work from the sewage side, metal covered capsule, which protects the probes from being damaged or silted up. In case the parameters of the measured sewerage are beyond the limit (predefined range of values), the valve (3) automatically shuts and the sewerage acceptance is interrupted.

The system makes it possible to take samples for the laboratory tests. The sample can also be taken manually using the valve (7). The total amount of delivered sewage is calculated in the measuring system of the electromagnetic flow meter. When the sewage acceptance from a given supplier is finished, the valve automatically shuts (3), and the valve in the rinsing collector opens, owing to which the whole device (4), from the rinsing module to the drainage basin, is rinsed with water and by that prepared to the next collection.

The work of the unit is controlled by the control panel (1) equipped with computer, printer, and bar code reader (depending on the version). The report can be printed after each delivery containing:

  1. Deliverer's identification number
  2. Date and time
  3. Total, daily amount of the delivered sewage
  4. The amount of sewerage delivered by a current deliverer
  5. The value of pH factor, salinity, temperature
  6. The number of a sample (when the automatic sampling system is used)
  7. The quota of the amount of sewerage per month per given customer

The PCMCIA memory card in the computer of the receiving station STZ registers all clients in a period of up to 3,5 months, regarding the amount of delivered sewerage, its pH parameters, mS, T.
