Principles of Operation

Sewage enters the area of the inside jacket via the inlet pipe. As a result of circular motion of the liquid aiding the sedimentation effect, sand grains settle on the bottom of the desander. Sewage, after precipitation of heavy suspended matter, is carried away from the desander by the outlet pipe to the outside ring of the device. This process can be aided by the aeration system. Sand pulp that is settling on the bottom part is being expelled outside through the feeding screw or sucked out by a pump. Floating sediment, that accumulates in the inside ring, can be sucked out by a funnel with adjustable position.
